From Rough to River
There is so much to do off the course and near the water along Florida’s First Coast.
Amelia Island
Take a guided kayak tour through local inland waters, Cumberland Island National Seashore or the Suwannee River. Make of day of it and take on a new water sport if you have an early tee time. For mainland exploration, hop aboard the Mayport auto ferry, which traverses the St. John’s River.
Clay County & Orange Park
For awesome St. John’s River views and close access to the water, stay at Club Continental. For outdoor exploration, camp and hike at Camp Chowenwaw or rent a boat for the day with Boat Florida Rentals. End the day with some savory seafood and waterfront views at Whitey’s Fishcamp.
Jacksonville & the Beaches
After a round, hit the beach or take the St. John’s River Taxi to explore downtown hotspots like Metropolitan Park. Catch a Jags game at EverBank Field or a Jumbo Shrimp game at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
Palm Coast & the Flagler Beaches
Get out and explore the water with Tropical Kayaks of Palm Coast or Palm Coast Marina Boat Rental. If you’re looking for things to do on land but with great waterfront views, take one of the hiking & biking trails that run along the coast.
St. Augustine & Ponte Vedra Beach
Experience life at sea, whether it’s by sailboat or pirate ship. Take a post-game sunset sail on the 76-foot Schooner Freedom Tall Ship at Schooner Freedom Charters or relax on the Black Raven Pirate Ship.
